Fridays are already great but I have an extra Merry announcement for you today. I know it’s hard to think about spring & summer when it’s so freezing out but that’s what I’m talkin’ about. I’m super pumped to announce that after such a great response to the holiday issue of Merry Magazine that we’ve decided to do a 180° and make it all about Summer! Yup, there’s going to be a Summer issue of Merry Mag coming your way.

Merry magazine was this crazy idea that started as a seed in my brain and came together so quickly that I didn’t really have time to think about its future beyond Christmas. Hence the name. But you know what? I realized that Merry is the perfect name for any season or occasion because the handmade goodness that we share in Merry is what makes it so merry any time of the year.

Needless to say, I’m beyond excited to see this little online magazine grow. Thank you so much to all the contributors and those who enjoyed it and shared it. In the spirit of sharing the Merry love and starting each season off with a fresh start, we’re going to be shaking things up a bit on the contributor page.

Myself and a small jury of awesome creative folks are going to be looking for new contributors to join some returning contributors for the Summer issue.

If you’re interested in becoming a contributor, please fill out the Merry Mag contributor online application by end of day (midnight) Friday, March 6. 

We’re looking for some fresh new ideas in the area of DIY, Food, Entertaining, Home Decor, Style & Outdoor Living. If you have a fresh & bright summer style, take great photos, like working with other awesome bloggers and have a great attitude, we want to work with you!

Oh and if you’re a writer and perhaps don’t have a blog of your own, I’ll also be looking for a writer to help with the non-blogger submitted creative copy. If that’s you, please send an email to [email protected] with a few samples of your work. Editorial experience would be ideal but not mandatory.
