What a great week! I love how my last post talked about changes and making some turns and then the next day this happened. Talk about an unexpected turn!
Yes, that’s really Martha Stewart and that’s one of my vintage gold leaf plate designs. I can die and go to craft heaven now. So everyone is dying to know, how did this happen?! No, Martha herself didn’t stop by my booth at the Spring One of a Kind Show (OOAK) but that would make a pretty great story. It did start there though. Remember how I mentioned in my OOAK recap that the highlight was a lovely woman from Martha Stewart Living coming by my table and giving me her biz card? Well I’m no wallflower and my motto is Make it Happen, so that’s what I did. I made this custom design plate and sent it to my new wannabe friend. My main goal was to make an impression and hopefully get a creative opportunity to work with the Martha Stewart Living brand in some way. The fact that it was actually shared with Martha and this pic showed up in my inbox was beyond my expectations.
There’s your inspiration to make sh!t happen people. Don’t think about it, be original & creative and do it.
Now that I got you all worked up, here’s a bunch of links to relax with this weekend over your morning coffee:

If you’re in Canada and cringe at the exchange rate and shipping fees to buy great shoes from the US, check out ShoeMe.ca. I just ordered my first pair for less than anywhere else, in CDN dollars and free shipping over $50! (pssst: after you complete an order you get a code to email to your friends for $50 off so you can scratch each other’s back)
Looking to have a little fun in the bedroom? Check out the Game of Love bedsheet game from my blogger pal, East Coast Creative. Monica took her most popular blog post of all time and turned into a real manufactured game! (make it happen!) Perfect for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentine’s day, a house-warming gift for newlyweds or for no reason at all.
How adorable is this planter iPhone doc? Our phones are part of our life now, we might as well make them fit in.
