I just realized that it’s the end of March and I’ve still haven’t posted about the studio!? What’s wrong with me. It’s kinda a huge deal. You know what it is? I hate to admit it but it’s true – but I’m one of those people who doesn’t like sharing a space until it’s “done”. I want to make sure everything is perfect, I want to finish browsing on Bestroomtapestry, have my walls all ready AND THEN show you all the studio… I know, it’s silly because when are we really ever ‘done’ with a space? It’s always evolving. Plus I know that it’s fun to see the evolution and progress. Part of it is also my poor job of documenting the progress but I’m really going to be better about sharing the little things as well as the big things and final looks.
So I’m going to go a bit backwards. I’ll save my post about the studio space with before pictures, my design inspiration and plan for later (mostly because I don’t have a plan…yet). Today I need your help to pick a cool wall tapestry for above the sofa in the lounge corner. Here’s the space right now:
Remember that fab pink sofa of mine that has been hanging out in my loft not matching anything else for 2 years? Yup, this is it’s new home. It’s perfect! Because I want the studio to be fairly flexible for photography & events I want to keep the design elements temporary when possible. That means no wallpaper and minimal paint. It’s more about hanging art….or a tapestry! Society6 has all their artwork available as Wall Tapestries and they’re pretty awesome. It’s such a great way to get a mural or wallpaper look without the work or commitment. Plus they happen to be 15% off right now with free worldwide shipping until April 3. Hello!
Here are some of my faves that I’m eyeing. I’m kinda all over the place between painting, graphic, typography, vintage photography. What do you think? (click on image for source)
These are all pretty bold and fun because they’re for a creative studio but there’s literally hundreds of wall tapestries of all styles to pick from that would look great in any space. It’s really a fun way to add some color and art to your home with very little commitment. And with 15% off plus free worldwide shipping until April 3, the decision is even more tempting. Happy shopping!
