One of the great sponsors that I got introduced to at BlogPodium was Tonic Living. They specialize in designer fabrics, throw pillows and more. Tonic Living ran a great contest for a group of creative bloggers. They had a selection of large fabric swatches and you had to choose 2 of the fab patterns and do/make something with it. Complete creative freedom. Do. Anything. You. Want.
I’ll admit that I love the IDEA of sewing and I own not one, but two sewing machines but I’ll confess that it’s not my strength. So I wanted to do something simple (or so I thought) and show you step by step but things got a bit complicated and unfortunately I just have the final results to share.
I decided to make a reversable lined fabric & leather clutch because it’s something I’ve wanted to try for awhile. Ok, so don’t look too closely because it didn’t turn out perfectly. But it was a learning experience and I still wanted to share. If you want to make something like this try this tutorial.
I ended up having some material left over and decided to whip up this super cute fabric container. It’s great for a small plant or just a catch-all for all those random things on your desk, in your kitchen or beside your front door. You can wing it or if you need some guidance, try this tutorial.
