Welcome to the last day of 2014. What kind of year did you have? What are you looking forward to most in 2015? I’ll be totally honest – I decided to disconnect digitally for Christmas and I’m having a really hard time connecting again. I’m such a live in the present type of person, which has it’s benefits, but one of the con’s is that I’ve never been good at looking back or forward. Or rather, learning from looking back to help me move forward. What I’m trying to say is that I was hoping to use some of my time off to reflect on the last year, figure out what worked and what didn’t and set some goals for myself, professionally & personally and put them out in the blogosphere to hold myself accountable. So that didn’t happen. Yet.
It’s happening in January because I have no choice. I need to do it for my own sanity. So stay tuned for that post that will have you at the edge of your seat.
But until then let’s celebrate endings & new beginnings today! If you’re hosting or attending a NYE house party, check out these 4 great entertaining posts I put together for my friends at Kendall-Jackson wines for some great ideas. And if you need entertainment ideas then remember the classics! There are so many games that you could consider playing to keep your guests entertained. One of the most popular games for these sort of parties is poker, or other similar casino games. If you don’t have the equipment to play it, people can always follow this link to find some online casinos instead. That would be much easier. Some people could even win some money if they play their cards right. Hopefully, this will keep guests entertained. Remember, nothing ever went wrong with truth or dare and sharing New Year resolutions. Mine, if you’re wondering, is to be more active by getting back into tennis. I’ll have to look up ‘Tennis Lessons Portland‘ online to find a place close to me but it’ll be worth it.

Me, I’ll be playing drums with my group at some crazy hippie warehouse party. I can’t say that I ever thought at 30-something I would be playing drums with an afro-brazilian group at a rave-like event for new years eve. I’m just going to go with it.
Have an awesome night however you decide to ring in the new year! See you on the flipside!
