Side Table Styling: One table, 3 ways

February 22, 2017 by TheSweetEscape 2 Comments

One table, 3 ways - exploring styling with The Sweet Escape

I’ve been looking for a side table for my living space for quite a while. I had something in my head that I wanted but couldn’t find it in any stores. Well not anything under $300 anyway. I new I wanted brass & glass to go with another table that I already had. Well thanks to The Millionaire’s Daughter for coming to the rescue with the exact type of table I was picturing, and it’s not the first time. They also helped me find the perfect teak hutch a few years ago.

If you live in Southern Ontario, like vintage/antique furniture (and a good deal) and  haven’t checked out The Millionaire’s Daughter yet then you’ve been missing out. They’re a great home decor consignment shop that just keeps growing with locations now in Hamilton, Aurora, Oakville and Kitchener. For me it’s all about the hunt but they’re great about putting all their inventory online so you can scope it out before making the trip. I found this perfect set of nesting tables, which is exactly what I was looking for at a fraction of the cost ($127) of what I would pay for something similar at a big retail shop.

So originally the purpose of the table(s) was to hold my new record player but now that I have it home I’ve been playing around with a few different locations and can’t decide where I like best. Here’s the options –

As a nice little compact space to hold my record player & records:

A side table in this corner that’s slowly becoming a bohemian jungle reading nook:

A side table that doubles as a mini-bar – because I’ll be honest, I can be a lazy host and rather have my guests serve themselves or at least have the drinks at an arm’s reach away to prepare.

In each case the set of tables looks great and serves a different function. I love how versatile it is. What do you think?
