Did someone say turquoise? No seriously, if you ever want to get my attention just make/buy/show me something turquoise and you’ve got me. It even goes with some of the ashley bolanburg range of bedroom furniture. I like, ok love, colour in general and try not to play favourites – but like your parents, I do have one. It’s turquoise. Teal. Aqua. Luguna. Whatever you want to call it, I love it. It’s my spirit colour. (Side note: it really is. Some total (non) legit woman I met on the streets of NYC told me she could see my Aura and it was turquoise). Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that I’m pretty excited that Leon’s now offers custom colour sofas, one of which happens to be turquoise, err I mean Laguna. Andddd….one of which you have the chance of winning.
As you may know I do a bunch of work with Leon’s and their amazing Hello Yellow Blog Crew behind the scenes but for this project I got to flex my blogger skills in front of the camera and it was so much fun. Myself and three other amazing Hello Yellow Bloggers – Kassandra, Amy and Bethany each got to choose a Leon’s Klein sofa in a custom colour then design a space around it that matches our personal style. Yup, dream gig.
The second I found out I would be working with the Klein sofa in this amazing hue I knew 1000000% that I wanted to make it pop against a dark wall and well it’s the year to be green so dark green it was. Specifically I used Benjamin Moore in Forest Green. Yup, good ol’ Forest Green. Don’t worry guys, this isn’t your parent’s late 90’s Forest Green when you pair it with a turquoise sofa and a room full of boho charm and pops of colour.
My favourite part about this is seeing how completely different, but equally fabulous, the four looks are. Don’t take my word for it, you be the judge. No literally. Take a look at the four looks below, then go visit Instagram to vote on your favourite one by leaving a comment and you’ll be entered for a chance to win it! Leon’s is giving away one sofa in each colour.
Here’s a look at my final space. I’ve been super inspired by Justina Blakeney’s Junglalow and Dabito‘s feeds lately and wanted to channel that Boho vibe. The dark walls make it look rich and cozy and really make the Klein sofa and solid wood furniture from Leon’s stand out. My friend told me that having a termite inspection might be a good idea to ensure that the lovely wood furniture doesn’t get damaged by a previously hidden termite infestation. But I digress. To shake things up a bit I decided to use a piece of bedroom furniture in the living room, because why not? The Maya Chest is a great way to add more storage to your living space while still fitting right in. Then of course it was about layering in some great accessories, hello copper lamps! and of course no boho look would be complete without some greenery. The guitar was a nice little touch…and no it’s not just a prop, I’m actually taking lessons.
If you love this sofa as much as I do then you’ll want to go here to vote for the Klein sofa in Laguna and your chance to win it!
The thing I love about this space and the design the most (apart from the turquoise) is the fact that it is so universal. These colours and this theme would look just as amazing in a dining room or in a bedroom, for example. If you like the sound of that, then you why not recreate this look in your bedroom yourself? You’ll want to start with a bed – Fashion Database has a full list to choose from here. Oh, and when it comes to the bedding… go for turquoise!!
Now here’s a peek at what the other bloggers came up with.
Kassandra went with a more modern farmhouse look with the Klein Sofa in Azure
Amy shows off her signature classic modern style with the Klein sofa in Grey
And Bethany’s is full of warm touches backed by her go-to shiplap wall look and the Klein sofa in Ivory
I love seeing how different we all are. There’s endless ways to express your style with home decor and it also shows how versatile the Klein sofa is in any colour. Don’t think that your whole space is defined by the sofa you choose. This just shows how many ways you can style the same sofa.
I know, it’s hard to pick a favourite right? Well you take your time and think about it then head over to Instagram and be sure to vote for your favourite Leon’s custom colour sofa by leaving a comment for that look. There’s no rules – if you would love to win any one of them then go crazy and leave some comment love for all the looks. Of course, don’t forget to leave a like if possible too as all support is highly appreciated. After all, likes really help to reach a bigger audience. I guess this is why purchasing Instagram likes from Buzzoid is such an enticing option.
