So this is a bit of a delayed post, as you can see by the weather & my outfit but I had to wait until the news was out before I shared this great DIY project.
My very good friend, Marie-Lou recently got engaged to her perfect match and enlisted my DIY powers to spread the news to family & friends. They wanted to keep it simple and send an email. Marie-Lou has always wanted to do a cute photobooth inspired save-the-date, so I made it happen.
I don’t have the chalkboard step by step to show you but I just found a gold frame at a thrift shop (you can easily spray paint any old frame) and used a piece of foamcore painted with chalkboard paint.
Behind the scenes sneak peek – oh the glamour of reality (Note how wet the grass is on my feet). Next you just start snapping away and have fun with it! Here’s a few outtakes from our little session:
Now as far as making it look like an actual photo strip you have a few options. If you have Photoshop and some tech skills, you can download a free stock image and place the photos within the frame, which gives you complete control of the final outcome.

This is awesome! Friends of mine did this for their actual invites and I STILL have it up on my bulletin board! (Their wedding was in 2010, haha)
This was a BLAST. Grateful for your creative genius! xo
