So a little while ago my super talented photographer friend, Maya, asked if she could come and take some still life photos around my place. She’s an extremely sweet person and these are my words, not hers but basically she was like “you have more stuff than anyone I know…may I please come and shoot some of it?”
Naturally I jumped at the opportunity. The result is some great shots of a few captured scenes around my loft.

This was also a great opportunity for me flex my styling muscles. Styling is one of those things that looks effortless when it’s done well but it can be challenging to make a scene actually looks natural. Well that was the look I was going for anyway. Matchy-matchy-everything-is-perfect is not my style.
Hey, look who managed to get in a shot! Mika, the supermodel budgie.
I love how these select items were caught on camera. It kinda makes them a little extra special. Sometimes when you have a bunch of stuff you forget how special each item really is.
