I hope you all had a great weekend. Call me psychic but I have a feeling it may have involved some holiday shopping? Myself, I had a unique shopping experience that I have to share. I went to a holiday pop-up shop hosted by Nathalie-Roze & Co. There was lots of great one-of-a-kind items but what made it so unique was the location. It was in a yurt. In the city. Seriously!
The yurt belongs to the super charming and equally unique authentic Irish pub Ceili Cottage (it deserves a whole post of its own), located in Leslieville and was taken over by Nathalie-Roze & Co. for the weekend for a pop-up handmade holiday sale.
This is the door to the yurt. Isn’t it pretty? As you can see, it’s not meant for people over 5 feet tall. But it’s part of the charm. Once you step in it opens up into a big but cozy space (see intro photo).
It was a two day event with various vendors including Compass & Co., Kulay Jewellery, Sarah De Gasperis Jewelry, AnnekeGarnette, Madelyn Stead, Revamped, Starling Vintage and of course Nathalie-Roze & Co.
Here’s a taste of the sweet goods.
Everyone was so friendly and the unique & cozy space made the shopping experience a little more special and personal.
If you’re bummed that you missed out on this sale, don’t worry. Nathalie-Roze & Co. will be hosting another sale next weekend (Dec 14 & 15) at the Gladstone Hotel. Check in & ‘like’ her facebook page to stay in loop for details.

I’m so glad you went to N-R’s popup! And the yurt is LITERALLY at the bottom of my street (I’m a drunken stumble home from the Ceili Cottage). I wish I could have been there – I was supposed to, but got stuck dealing with a tantruming toddler instead. Sigh. Happy happy holidays, and hope to see you in 2014.
Ahh, too bad! Well you should check out her show at THe Gladstone this weekend. That was my first visit to the Ceili Cottage and I’m DYING to go back for a meal. Let me know if you ever want to meet up there….assuming there’s no tantrum toddler emergencies ;)
