So I have some big news to share. I didn’t want to say anything until it was official and I didn’t consider it official until I saw my first post in writing with my profile picture below it. I’m excited to announce that I’m now a contributor for Apartment Therapy! My first post appeared today and I’m not going to lie, it made me very excited. It reminded me how far I’ve come in a relatively short time and that my hard work is starting to pay off. (That’s a whole other blog post for me..I use the term ‘paying’ very loosly) Imagine that, I’m some kind of authority on what to do in your space?!

I had all intentions of writing a post reflecting this past year and what my hopes & goals for the new year are but well life was happening and it just didn’t materialize yet but I do plan on writing some thoughts down to share. If I play the ‘what’s your word this year’ game, mine would be SUCCESS. I hope that doesn’t sound too egotistical but I’ve worked VERY hard the past nine months on this little spot here on the web and damn straight I would love to see that hard work pay off. Figuratively and literally. I’m not going to be shy or apologetic about it.

This contributor roll is a step towards success. It’s another door opened to a room full of posibilities. I’m sure I’ll meet some great people, be challenged, be excited, learn and grow. Being recognized for hard work is like a shot of adrenaline for me and makes me just want to work 10x harder.

So if you’re not already a big Apartment Therapy follower I hope you start checking in Thursdays to see what I’ve come up with. I will also be sharing some DIY’s and special feature sneak peaks on here as well. I hope I don’t regret saying this but constructive feedback and/or suggestions are always welcome – a ton of great creative minds is always better than one.
