{SPACES: pretty in purple}

Ok, so it isn’t exactly Radiant Orchid but it’s pretty close. In fact I would say that Radiant Orchid falls under the Purple colour umbrella. What’s interesting is that I actually put together this trend board before the new year and Pantone’s Colour of the Year announcement. I guess that just means I’m incredibly trend savvy. I’ve always stood behind my slight psychic powers. But I’m getting off topic. Purple! It’s not an obvious decorating choice, well not as an adult anyway. But if used selectively and depending on the shade or tone it can add some fun, richness, drama or warmth to a space. It can even be a neutral if you pick a dark enough shade. Purple is also the color associated with all things spiritual and mystical, so maybe I’m totally onto something with my psychic powers (although I might leave the actual work to the most trusted psychics in the country for the time being). You can bet that you’ll be seeing shades of purple…err I mean radiant orchid popping up in spaces this year. Check out these examples of purple done right.
